Telehealth Services

North Texas Counseling Associates now offers clients telehealth services as an option for psychotherapy sessions. We are dedicated to ensuring you receive the best possible care with minimal interruptions. Many clients are moving to telehealth services during the COVID-19 crisis to ensure health, safety, and continuity of care.

Telehealth is another means to providing therapy. Telehealth is just like an in-person session with a therapist, only over video conferencing. At North Texas Counseling Associates, “telehealth services” primarily refers to counseling sessions provided via video conferencing.

There are many benefits to having sessions using telehealth.

·         It can be easier and more efficient for you to access mental health care

·         There may be more flexibility to schedule a time convenient for you.

·         You can talk to a therapist without physically coming to an office.

For video therapy, we are using Zoom Pro to provide secure, confidential video therapy to our clients. You can learn about Zoom at zoom.us. Zoom incorporates industry standard network and software security protocols to protect your privacy and secure your health information.

What You Will Need

Here is what you will need to meet with a therapist using video therapy:

-A computer or tablet with a microphone and a camera
-Internet speed of at least 1 megabit per second
-A private space (preferably a room with a door) without family members or other distractions
-A secure internet connection (public Wi-Fi is not recommended due to lack of privacy)

**Helpful tip: Using headphones/earbuds with a microphone may help minimize what other people nearby can hear.

Dr. Jennie Fincher is authorized to practice under PSYPACT and can offer teletherapy services in the following participating states: Arizona, Colorado, Delaware, Georgia, Illinois, Missouri, Nebraska, New Hampshire, Nevada, Oklahoma, Texas, Utah, Pennsylvania and Virginia.

Privacy

At North Texas Counseling Associates, we value your confidentiality. To ensure your privacy, your therapist will connect with you from a space where they can reasonably ensure confidentiality and lack of interruption.
