Kate graduated from the University of North Texas with a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature. Her background is in education, and she has taught Elementary, Junior High, and High School students for the last 16 years. Kate completed her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Regent University and is licensed as an LPC Associate under the supervision of Dr. Fincher. Kate has an interest in working with individuals and families. Clinical areas of focus include depression, trauma/PTSD, grief, anxiety & avoidance, family conflict, self-esteem, behavioral issues, & anger management. Treatment approaches include cognitive behavioral, dialectical behavioral, narrative, art & play therapy.
Kate believes in working in partnership with clients, utilizing a therapeutic alliance to help them sort out their challenges and achieve their goals. She is passionate about helping others in a safe, non-judgmental environment where clients can access their inner strengths and promote change.
