Gabby is working towards a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology at the University of North Texas. She has a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Texas at San Antonio and a Master of Science in Psychology from the University of North Texas. Gabby has worked with children, adolescents, and adults in a variety of settings including a community mental health clinic, university counseling center, children’s hospital, children’s shelter, middle school, and more. She has experience in individual therapy, group therapy, and couple’s therapy. The majority of her work has centered around serving those from underserved communities and those with marginalized identities. Clinical areas of focus include trauma/PTSD, depression, anxiety, academic and behavioral difficulties, identity exploration, LGBTQ+ issues, and relationship concerns. She is trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, an evidence-based treatment for children and adolescents impacted by trauma and their caregivers. Additionally, Gabby has conducted comprehensive psychological evaluations to assess for a variety of mental health diagnoses.
Gabby is dedicated to creating a therapeutic space that is safe, affirming, and empowering. She is committed to a practice centered around inclusivity and cultural competence. Gabby believes that no matter what difficult life circumstances individuals are facing, they have the power within themselves to achieve their goals.
